A great pattern by Carrie Nelson of Miss Rosie's Quilt Co. drew my interest immediately. I LOVE scrappy quilts made with reproduction fabrics. This one had both. I just added an extra 6 1/2" border all around to make it big enough for a queen sized bed.
It measures 91" square. You can see I'm having a rough time getting it all in the photo.
Notice Kim Diehl fabric for the border. She is one of my favorite quilt and fabric designers.
I got a kick out of one block I am using to make the backing for the scrappy quilt is about the same size as 28 blocks I've made for the 365 quilt block challenge!
The finished size for the 365 Challenge is the same as this scrappy quilt. This is the second largest top I have ever made and the size scares me a little for one with 365 blocks in it. So....don't be surprised if I only make the 3" blocks, or possibly 2 or 3 quilts instead of one. I had better get going so I can post this pic of this week's blocks in the weekly draw.
